Get in Touch

CannabisNorthDakota.org is an educational resource, not a cannabis business. We don’t sell products, provide legal advice, or operate dispensaries. However, we welcome your feedback to help keep this site accurate and useful.

Report Inaccurate Information

North Dakota cannabis policy is changing: federal Schedule III rescheduling implementation (April 2026 DOJ order), the 2026 election cycle, possible 2028 ballot prospects, and continued federal hemp-policy evolution all introduce volatility. If you notice information on this site that is outdated or incorrect, please reach out and let us know.

Suggest Improvements

Is there a region, topic, or development we haven’t covered well enough? A new commission action? A 2026 election update? A Turtle Mountain Title 56 operational milestone? Schedule III implementation update? We’d love to hear your suggestions.

About Our Team

CannabisNorthDakota.org is maintained by a small team of researchers and writers committed to providing free, accurate cannabis information. We are not affiliated with any reform organization, advocacy group, or cannabis business.

For Legal Advice

This site does not provide legal advice. For arrest situations, federal-employment matters, expungement petitions, or trafficking exposure, consult a licensed North Dakota criminal-defense or industry attorney with cannabis-policy experience. State Bar Association of North Dakota lawyer-referral service provides referrals.

Particular attention is warranted for:

  • Concentrate Class C felony exposure (any vape cartridge with marijuana-derived oil = felony).
  • Cross-border-transport federal-felony exposure plus North Dakota state-law liability under § 19-03.1-23.
  • Manitoba/Canada CBP federal-felony exposure either direction regardless of provincial or state legality.
  • Cannabis DUI under impairment-only standard.
  • Civil-asset-forfeiture proceedings.
  • WSI workers’ comp denial under § 65-01-11 rebuttable presumption.

For Medical Advice

This site does not provide medical advice. Compassionate Care Act patient certification requires a licensed practitioner (MD, DO, APRN, PA) registered with NDDHHS through the BioTrack THC online registration system. Telehealth permitted for initial certifications post-2025 HB 1203.

For Federal-Employment Questions

If you work for Minot AFB (91st Missile Wing ICBM, 5th Bomb Wing B-52), Grand Forks AFB (RQ-4 Global Hawk ISR), Cavalier Space Force Station, Camp Grafton (ND National Guard), federal contractors with security clearances, or federally-funded research at NDSU/UND — cannabis use is a meaningful career-risk decision. Consult an employment attorney with federal-clearance experience before any cannabis use. The April 28, 2026 Schedule III rescheduling does not change federal drug-testing rules.
